The Samsung SWC-E100, the first connection card for Sprint's new XOHM WiMAX network, is a simple device that does its job well (as long as you aren't a Mac user). The E100 is an ExpressCard, but it also comes with a PC Card adapter for older computers. At 1.3 ounces and 4.6 by 1.6 by .5 inches, it's moderately sized, and features an LED that shines red if there's a problem, yellow if it detects signal, and green if it's connected. At the end of the card, there's a thick, flip-up antenna. During testing, I found flipping it up was necessary to get the best performance. Unfortunately, the E100 doesn't feature an external antenna port, which would likely be a welcome addition for those in fringe coverage areas
